The Story
From the Apiary to the Barrel.
Every jar begins with my own honeybees, carefully tended on a beautiful horse farm in Zionsville, Indiana. The bees gather nectar from local wildflowers and hardwood forests, creating a raw honey with natural character and depth.
After harvest, I select small batches and age them in authentic Kentucky bourbon barrels. The oak slowly transforms the honey, adding notes of toasted oak, vanilla, caramel, and warm bourbon spice while keeping the honey’s natural sweetness at the center.
Nothing artificial is added. The barrel itself becomes the final ingredient.
To meet the demand for this product, honey is sourced from my own apiary and one carefully selected local bee yard. Every batch is made with raw, local honey reserved exclusively for Leone Bourbon Barrel Aged Honey.
